Error Details :

A Pixel Shader is a graphics function that calculates effects on a per-pixel basis. Pixel Shading is a method used for rendering advanced graphical features such as bump mapping and shadows. Most modern PC games utilize pixel shaders in conjunction with advanced GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) found on most Nvidia, AMD and certain Intel video cards. Pixel Shaders also directly correspond with Microsoft's DirectX platform.

If you don't know what Pixel Shader level your video card supports, then there is a chance that game will not work for you even if you have the minimum required DirectX version installed. Below list describes what Pixel Shader level and DirectX versions :
  • DirectX 8.0 - Pixel Shader 1.1
  • DirectX 8.1 - Pixel Shader 1.3 & 1.4
  • DirectX 9.0 - Pixel Shader 2.0
  • DirectX 9.0c - Pixel Shader 3.0
  • DirectX 10.0 - Pixel Shader 4.0
  • DirectX 10.1 - Pixel Shader 4.1
  • DirectX 11.0 - Pixel Shader 5.0
Solution :
  • In Clientmod v3, Shaders change has now been rolled back due to some issues.
  • Alternatively, you can use similar Shader which was in old v34. You can enable this by using mat_shader_almostlike_v34 command in console.
  • Try to lower directx version for the game, if it allows.
  • Update your video/graphics card driver.
  • If above options do not work, then only option is to upgrade your video/graphics card.
